These terms are the agreement between you and Vantum AI (Pty) Ltd, trading as Reelwise ("Reelwise", "we"). Company details are on the company page. By creating an account you agree to them. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

1. What Reelwise does

You upload phone videos of a property and, if you like, a few facts about the listing. Reelwise edits them into short vertical videos ("reels") in formats taken from widely watched property videos, and gives you a caption and a score for each. You download the reels and post them yourself. Reelwise never posts anything on your behalf.

The editing uses software and AI models. They can make mistakes, so watch each reel before you post it. On-screen text only uses the facts you type, what you say on camera and what the footage shows.

2. Your account

  • You sign in with Google or with a code we email you. Keep access to that email account; anyone who can read it can sign in.
  • One account is for one person. You must be 18 or older, or be using Reelwise for a business that lets you.

3. The free first video

Every person gets one free video, made into one reel in one format, with a small Reelwise watermark. It runs in Turbo (section 6) and uses no Turbo minutes. No card is needed. If the edit fails, the free video is given back so you can try again. We may refuse a free video to someone who opens several accounts to get more. The free video is our trial: we do not offer trial refunds (section 9).

4. Plans and prices

Starter R149 a month. Unlimited reels at standard speed (fair use of 60 reels a month), no watermark, 3 formats (narrated tour, price, would you live here). Standard speed only, and your videos are edited one at a time.
Pro R299 a month. Everything in Starter, plus the fourth format (save the best for last), fair use of 150 reels a month, 60 Turbo minutes a month, several videos edited at once in Turbo, and Turbo top-ups.
Turbo top-up R99 for 60 Turbo minutes, paid once. On Pro.

Prices are in rand and are the full price: the company is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. There are no set-up fees, no cancellation fees and no other charges.

5. Fair use, in numbers

"Unlimited" on a plan means unlimited at standard speed, up to the fair-use number below. It is set high enough that an agent making reels for every listing will not reach it.

Reels in a billing month Starter 60, Pro 150. A billing month runs from the date your plan started or last renewed to the same date the next month. The free reel does not count, and nor does an edit that fails.
Videos per listing Up to 10, each up to 4 GB.
Reels per listing One per format: up to 3 on Starter, 4 on Pro.

If you reach the limit, the app tells you the date it resets. We never charge extra for going over; you can wait, or move to Pro.

6. Speed and Turbo minutes

  • Standard speed. On every plan. Your video joins the queue for our editor behind any Turbo work, and your own videos are edited one at a time. When many people are editing at once, standard videos wait longer.
  • Turbo. On Pro. A Turbo video goes to the front of the queue, and several of your Turbo videos are edited at the same time. It uses 1 Turbo minute for each started minute of video you upload (a walkthrough of 3 minutes 10 seconds uses 4). The app shows how many minutes a video will use before you start it, and a waiting standard video can be moved to Turbo with "Go Turbo".
  • Monthly Turbo minutes. Pro includes 60 Turbo minutes each billing month. They are part of the plan and do not carry over: unused monthly minutes end when the billing month ends, and the next month starts with a full 60.
  • Top-ups. You can buy 60 extra Turbo minutes for R99, charged once. Bought minutes are used only after your monthly minutes and stay valid for 3 years from the day you buy them (Consumer Protection Act, section 63). They stay yours if you change plan, and you can use them while you have any paid plan.
  • Failed edits. If an edit fails, or the footage cannot make a reel, the Turbo minutes it used are given back.
  • Promotions. Sometimes we run a promotion, for example unlimited Turbo for 7 days on Pro. While it runs, Turbo videos on the plans it names use no Turbo minutes. The app shows when it ends. A promotion never changes your price.

7. Paying, renewing and changing plan

  • Card payments go through Paystack. Your plan starts as soon as the first payment goes through, and renews on the same date every month until you cancel. Checkout always shows the amount charged today and what renews when, before you pay. We email you 3 days before each renewal.
  • You can instead pay for one month at a time by Capitec Pay or instant EFT. That month never renews by itself; we remind you 3 days before it ends, and you can pay for the next month whenever you like.
  • If a renewal payment fails, your plan stays on for 7 days while you update your card in Billing. If it is still unpaid after that, your account goes back to the free plan. We do not charge interest or penalties.
  • Upgrading works straight away. You pay the difference in price for the whole days left in the period you have paid for, charged once (nothing, if that comes to less than R5), and get Pro's Turbo minutes for the rest of that month in proportion. From your next renewal date you pay the bigger plan's price.
  • Moving to a smaller plan starts at the end of the period you have paid for. You keep the bigger plan, and its Turbo minutes, until then. You can undo it in Billing before that date.
  • If we change a price, we email you at least 20 business days before the new price applies to you, and you can cancel before then.

8. Cancelling

  • Cancel any time in Billing: tap "Cancel plan", then confirm. There is no fee and no call to make.
  • Your plan stays on until the end of the month you have paid for, then your account goes back to the free plan. Nothing more is charged.
  • Changed your mind? Turn the plan back on in Billing before that date.
  • Reels you have made stay in your account to download while your account is open.

9. Refunds and cooling-off

  • Cooling-off. Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act lets a consumer cancel an online purchase of services within 7 days without reason. It does not apply to services that began, with your consent, before the 7 days ended (section 42(2)(d)). Because your plan, upgrade or top-up starts the moment you pay, checkout asks you to agree to it starting straight away, and we keep a record of that.
  • No trial refunds. Your first video is free, so you can try Reelwise before you pay anything.
  • No refunds on renewals. We do not refund a renewal payment, the part of a period that is left when you cancel or move to a smaller plan, or unused Turbo minutes. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, and bought Turbo minutes stay valid for 3 years.
  • If a reel does not come out properly, tell us and we will fix it or make it again. If we cannot, we will refund you in line with the Consumer Protection Act.
  • Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. Banks usually show them within 5 to 10 business days.

10. Your videos and reels

  • You own your videos and the reels made from them. You let us store and process them only to run Reelwise for you. We do not use them in our own marketing unless you agree in writing first.
  • The music in your reels is our own, made for Reelwise. You may post reels with it on social media and your own websites.
  • We delete your uploaded videos automatically 30 days after you upload them. Reels stay until you delete the listing or close your account.

11. What you promise us

  • You have the right to film the property and to use the footage, and the owner or occupants have agreed.
  • Anyone who can be recognised in your footage has agreed to appear in it.
  • The listing facts you give are true. Your listing reels are your marketing material, so the Property Practitioners Act and your own industry rules (for example, showing your Fidelity Fund Certificate details) apply to them as they do to anything else you publish.
  • You will follow the rules of the platforms you post on.

Do not upload anything illegal, footage that is not yours to use, or anything meant to mislead buyers or tenants. Do not try to break, overload or copy the service. We may suspend an account that does; we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond unless the law or a serious risk prevents it.

12. Scores are a guide

The Reelwise score on each reel shows how closely it follows what the most-watched property videos do. It is a guide to help you choose. It is not a prediction of views, and not a promise of leads or sales. Results depend on your listing, your audience and the platforms.

13. Changes to Reelwise and to these terms

We keep improving Reelwise, so features change. If we change these terms in a way that matters to you, we email you at least 20 business days before the change applies, and you can cancel before then.

14. Liability

We do our best to keep Reelwise working and your files safe, but we cannot promise it will never be down. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost business, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for our gross negligence, or anything the Consumer Protection Act does not allow us to limit.

15. Complaints

Write to [email protected]. We reply within 5 business days. If we cannot sort it out, you may contact the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (cgso.org.za) or the National Consumer Commission (thencc.gov.za). For privacy complaints, see the privacy policy.

16. Law

South African law governs these terms.

17. Closing your account

Email us to close your account. Cancel any paid plan first. We delete your videos and reels within 30 days of closing, except records the law requires us to keep, such as payment records.
